Keeping Blame Out of Your Relationship

707825_thumbnail1If you want to keep the spark alive in your relationship, you will have to learn keeping blame out of your relationship. No one likes to be pointed with a fickle finger and receiving blame for something. It is a very common human trait to transfer blame to others. Actually, we do not try to judge ourselves and find out how we can help improve the situation, rather we find it easier to transfer the blame of a situation unto another partner.

When guilt is arising within you, it is easy to transfer the blame on your partner. However, in order to maintain a strong and healthy relationship you must learn keeping blame out of your relationship and look at yourself and find out what you could do to help the situation.

In any aggravated situation in relationships, you must take a step back and try to figure out how the argument started and what added fuel to the fire. Keeping blame out of your relationship can be achieved if you try to figure out your contribution to the problem. Actually, before pointing a finger at others you must understand that the other four are pointing at you. So it is advisable that you try to figure out your mistake at first. If you are a part of an argument, you must take responsibility of all your actions and words. Once you admit your mistakes, you can find out ways in which you can correct them and see that they do not recur in the future.

A relationship can survive longer if both the partners do not make it a power struggle about deciding who is right and who is wrong. You should not assign any blame to other people, rather you should communicate your concern in a calm manner and try to resolve the issue. If you criticize your partner and complain about his/her mistakes, it will not change them but if you admit your own mistakes it may motivate them to admit theirs and may get inspiration from you.

For a long lasting relationship, you need to accept your partner in entirety. You should not try to figure out fault and shortcomings of your partner and allow him to realize his own shortcomings. The beauty of a relationship may be overshadowed if there is a blame game and a fault finding exercise in your relationship.

To make your love grow for each other, partners must try and understand each other’s feelings and learn to respect their feelings. If you can understand your partner’s point of view and have a look at the situation with your partner’ outlook you may be able to deal with an issue more easily. For growing in love, you should not insist that your values and belief is the only right way to look at an issue.

If you learn keeping blame out of your relationship and start accepting your mistakes and try to solve problems for the benefit of a long lasting relationship rather than scoring more over your partner, you will certainly find your relationship at newer heights.
