I am assuming you live with him and the child you mentioned is his. In my opinion he wants to have both - you at home and a free lifestyle outside the house. This of course is bulls**it. He has to step up and either be happy with you as his family or leave you to move on to secure your own healthy relationship. If he won't talk about it then you may have to take steps to protect yourself and your daughter. Just going on like you describe is not a healthy way for you and your daughter to live.
