I think you may have 2 separate issues here to deal with your boyfriend.

First the wedding, he may not have invited you because his co-worker that is getting married may not have to ability to sponsor such a large reception. By inviting only her direct co-workers she saved a lot of money. Conversely, your boyfriend may be doing his male friend a favor - if the other guy has no date they may have made a agreement to go together "stag".

The other issue is you have been dating for 2 years and you don't do much together. With this issue it sounds like your boyfriend may be keeping you around until he finds something else he likes. By the way, that may also be the issue with the wedding. He (and his male friend) may be hoping to meet someone new at the wedding. Weddings are always a good meeting place because people are not in a pickup mode such as you would be at a club or bar.

Dating for 2 years and not having gone away for at least a weekend is unusual at best. Unless your boyfriend is under some type of financial constraints then you could offer to pay some of the trip. I would suggest something like this to him and if he resists even doing something under those terms, I would also suggest you start looking for someone better suited to your lifestyle. If he doesn't want to go anywhere now I can only imagine what your relationship would be like in marriage or even living together.

Talk it out with him but my "gut" feeling is it is time for you to move on.
